Hot to Make Fleece Baby Blanket With Crochet Edge
Information technology happens to all of united states of america (at least I hope its non only me!). Information technology's Friday and you have a baby shower Sabbatum. And you forgot until that moment. For now, on our husband-is-in-school-and-I-am-a-stay-at-home-mom budget, I need to combine our souvenir giving budget with my crafty stuffs budget. Luckily I found the perfect quick/reasonable cost/still nice gift in this crochet edged fleece blanket! I actually have a stock of these at present for all the wee babes coming into our life!
I dearest these blankets. They are so prissy, super soft and warm, but non too bulky! Perfect for stowing away in a diaper bag. Anybody I have given them as well accept said how much they love them (similar they would tell me otherwise ha). Only I have seen one of my new trivial cousins wrapped up in hers on some facebook pics, so that is my proof. Simply don't take my word for it! Make one yourself! Or if you don't want to brand ane, cheque out my etsy shop!
It is a half thousand, single layer of fleece, crocheted around with a pretty border. My accented favorite is the leopard print. I have a serious weakness for annihilation animal impress... Once yous trim your fleece down into as perfect of a square as you tin can get, trim those corners.
At present accept the Kay's Crochet border blade and adhere it to a rotary cutter. (I have a cheapo one and information technology works corking with it.)
Most one-half an inch from the edge continue the edge of the fleece. Equally the wheels turn it makes some lilliputian holes perfectly spaced for your crocheting needs. Go around the unabridged coating.
Put your hook through a corner hole.
Attach the yarn. Admire the chipped gold nail polish and think well-nigh how fat my thumbs look.
Then do a one-half double crochet, concatenation 1, and place a half double crochet in the next hole. You can utilize a unmarried crochet if you prefer but I similar the solidness of a half double. I don't know if it would make much of a difference.
Echo all around.
Then begin your pattern for the edge.
For this coating I did:
5 DC in one sew, skid stitch in next, 5 DC in next, slip stitch in next, repeat effectually. I did non concatenation any before starting my DCs.

I also like to make a lilliputian hat to go with the coating. This is my newborn hat pattern.
